FAMILY
I live in Sandy, UT. and have 3 sisters. We grew up mostly in Great Falls, MT. but I am the only family member residing in Utah.

My folks live in Amarillo, TX, Cheri, older sister, lives in Guam, Patti, younger sister, lives in San Diego, and Judi, younger sister, lives in San Francisco. I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews. However, my biggest joy comes from Mackenzie (9) and Emily (8), my God-daughters. We do sleep overs, play Polly Pockets, watch movies, go camping, do Chucky Cheese, and play in the backyard pool. Lucky for me, they live only 5 minutes away from my house.

CAREER
I have always said I'm a "corporate" girl as I started my career in IT 20 years ago, working for NCR Corporation where I worked in Restaurant/Hospitality, Banking, and Retail.

I then worked for Smith's Food and Drug, Co. doing support, and new store intalls (hardware, software, and wiring), mostly through out southern California. Smith's later contracted with EDS Corporation to manage all IT systems. I did a variety of projects: networking, desktop support, programming, infrastructure design, POS programming and support, and oversaw several projects.

I came to Altiris in 2002 after working for CINCLANFLT headquarters Navy base helping them build a new network. While I enjoyed living in Virginia Beach, traveling 100% was taxing, and too difficult to take care of responsibilities here. I left EDS after 11.5 years.

Working at Altiris gives me the chance to interact with great developers and testers, and be technical yet creative. I have great regard for Greg Butterfield and his management staff. I love it here.

SPARE TIME
As a side note, I am a freelance professional photographer and was recently notified that a project I have been working on for 21 months will be published by Collectors books. The Lancaster Glass Company book is due out on the shelves between July and December 2007.

I also like the outdoors: hiking, biking, sking, and camping. I love movies and have "down" time playing XBOX 360 shooting games, which is as fun as going to the shooting range. Gotta be prepared for "perps"!
