Each time a policy or update collection schedule runs, it generates events that increase the load on the Notification Server. To conserve network resources, this tech tip will help you set policies that are used by Patch Management Solution for Dell Servers to run at longer intervals. Note that this applies to Patch Management Solution 6.2 SP1 for Dell Servers.

Collection Update Schedule

This schedule controls how often changed collections are updated.

  1. In the Altiris Console, click the Configuration tab.
  2. In the left pane, select Configuration > Server Settings > Notification Server Settings > Automatic Collection Updating.
  3. In the right pane, under Collection Delta Update Schedule, set the Enable Schedule to Custom Schedule.
