Adding Software License Types

If you would like to track other types of software licenses other than "Concurrent" or "Per Installed Node", you can add your own. For example "Per Processor" or "Enterprise".

1. Go to Resources Settings under Configuration.
2. Drill-down on Data Classes > Contract Data Classes > Software License Data Classes > Software License Detail.
   
   

   Click to view.

3. Click the pencil icon next to License Type.
   
   

   Click to view.

4. Click the Edit button on the right of Type: Static List.
   
   

   Click to view.

5. Add any other license type you would like as an option. Note, if you want them in a different order, you need to delete them and add them in the order you want.

This does not do anything other than allow you to tag a software license as that type. Any report that shows License Type will now show your new types and allow you to sort on it.
