There are a few ways to have a batch script wait for a number of seconds. The simplest and most widely available without any additional programs is to use the ping command.

OSQL is a flexible command-line utility that allows you to run SQL Queries, Commands, and Stored Procedures from the command-line or through a Batch script.

You can run these SQL scripts in Query Analyzer and save the results to file for review later on. Also be sure to select the Altiris database (or whatever database you want to look at) in Query Analyzer, otherwise you will likely get errors. You can modify the where clause of the scripts, to filter (table_catalog, table_schema, ...) and narrow your results.

If you have an Exchange environment, this is a must-have. A lot of troubleshooting steps begin with disabling Outlook Cache Mode. There are also some Outlook addons that play well with Cache Mode. This script can be used with Inventory Solution to report Cache Mode status for all profiles on a computer.
