Q:
Hi all,
I'm new here and have a question about a query.
Does anyone have a tip how I can get all this information:
Username
Computername
Operating system
OS Service Pack
IE version
Equipment type
Computer model and S/N
Service tag
Memory
Monitor model and S/N
Accessories
Printer model and S/N
Licensed software installed
Software update
Compaq insight agent
Local administrator
I know that the Standard query is very good and has much information, but how can I get the SN of a Monitor or Battery, for example.
Thanks for your help,
Marcel

Little bit more info needed
What kind of hardware do you have? I am assuming all HP based on your Compaq Insight Agent request but wondered if you had a mix. I can help you create a web report for all that info as I may have some time to do so over the next few days.

Dell and HP Client Managers
Hi
Do you have the Dell Client Manager and HP Client Manager installed in your Altiris infrastructure?
These two add-on solutions extend the inventory information and may include the serial number of the components you require.
Hope that helps.
Andy
All depends
It all depends on how your data is collected.
I was surprised to find some info that we did not think was being collected. That is what I get for searching through SQL views on a regular basis!
One of my favorite past times these days and it yields ton's of useful information!
Custom inventory for other info
The other option is to do a custom inventory to scan the registry, wmi, or ini files to find additional information. if you can find it in one of those locations, you can write a custom inventory to bring it into altiris.
Find the data
You need to find the tables you're looking for, and the easist way is to look in Resource Explorer.
See this article that I posted a long time ago...
