A:

Darryl, to import Resource Types into Helpdesk, go to the Incident Tab in the Altiris Console and log in as an Administrator.

Then, go to Admin under the Command section, and then to Resource Types. After clicking on the Edit button a list of Resource Types will be displayed, enabling you to select the resource types you want to import into the Helpdesk Database.

Question about installing Altiris Agent remotely

Hello,

At my company we are currently trying to install the Altiris Agent remotely on machines that are not within our network. I believe the ports are opened however when I try to run the Altiris agent installation I get the following error: "no network provider accepted the given path". I'm trying to find some info on the web but I figured i'd try go get some info here first. Any info provided would be greatly appreciated.
