What are Juice Points?
Altiris Juice Points are a way of measuring your involvement and contributions to the Juice. They serve as a way to determine how you rank compared to other Juice members. They're also the basis of a community-wide competition to see which members truly have Juice in their veins.

How do I earn points?
First, you need a Juice account. As a member, there are a number of ways to earn and accumulate points.

Here's a list of the current opportunities:

• Post a tip to the Juice, earn 50 points.
• Post a heads up! to the Juice, earn 25 points.
• Post a tool to the Juice, earn 100 points.
• Post an article to the Juice, earn 500 points. (Articles must be 1,500 words and include screen captures.)
• Post a GroupByte to your User Group's page, earn 10 points.
• Post a comment that improves, explains, or adds an example to a Juice article, earn 5 points.
• Vote on a tip, download, or article, earn .5 point. (Points awarded for up to 5 votes in a 24-hour period.)
• Add a Get SVS button to your site and earn points while you sleep! For every 10 unique users who click your button, earn 1 point.

By the way, we're always adding (and taking away and changing) the ways you can earn points. (We reserve the right to change the above point schedule at any time.) So earn early and earn often.

What is the benefit of having points?

• Bragging Rights.
  Thousands of people visit the Juice every month. Active contributors rise to the top of our tally sheets and earn the respect and admiration of their peers. If you're a consultant, product evangelist, or just upwardly mobile, exposure is your friend.
• Did we mention prizes?
  According to our legal team, points earned on the Juice have no cash value. But, from time to time we'll feature things of value (like t-shirts) and we'll hook up with partners who are crazy enough to let you exchange points for things that do have value. Currently, users can go to this rewards page and cash in their hard-earned points for all kinds of fun stuff.

How do I find out how many points I have?
Point totals are displayed on each registered user's "my account" page.
