HIIJobWiz can be used to create Hardware Independent Imaging jobs using a specific driver source or to create jobs that utilize the HII Tools.
It can also create a job that will use the DriverCollect.exe (3.1.6 or higher) to gather jobs from any computer that is managed by your Deployment Server. You can find the latest DriverCollect.exe here
Simply extract HIIJobWiz.exe into your express share and launch it on any computer that has the DS Console installed.

Great Idea
Hi there,
Thanks for this piece of software. I can see that it is going to make things a lot easier for some of the Altiris noobies like myself to get a handle on HIImages. Alas I have a problem launching the software. The exe is located in the express share as advised however when I run the software I get the following error when trying to launch any of the three options:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'AxDsDm, Version=1.0.2722.33197, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Can you advise what I have to do to get your application up and running? I can provide extra log data if required. Thanks David
HIIJobWiz.exe must be in the root the directory
HIIJobWiz.exe must be in the root of your Deployment Server directory (C:\Program Files\Altiris\eXpress\Deployment Server). AxDsDm.dll must also be in the same directory. Are both of those files there?
I have tested this applicaiton on Deployment Server 6.8 SP1 and 6.8 SP2, what version are you using?
Program crashes when I try and run it.
I tried running it on my console and the DS and it crashes.
Microsoft .Net framework.
Unhandled exception has occured.
If I click continue the wizard pops up. But whne I click next I get the same error and clicking continue changes nothing.
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'AxDsDm, Version=1.0.2722.33197, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. Silly me put it within the HII folder in the eXpress share. As soon as I moved it to the root of the share it worked flawlessly.
Thanks!
WSE needed
Every time I've seen errors like this, it was due to WSE not being installed on the machine. You can download WSE from Microsoft's website. I believe the current version is WSE 3.0. Just type WSE 3.0 in the search box on Microsoft.com and it should link you to the download page. Try installing that on the client you are running the program from and see if that doesn't take care of the problem.

Thanks for the info
Thanks for the infomation on this, and for providing the tool. Definately a big help.
Supported by Altiris ??
This tool is great, but will it be supported by the Altiris Support team if any problems arise in production or is it one of those 'use at your own risk' add ons
Andrew
Can't Wait!
