Guys,
Can anyone help me with Application Virtualization setup? I am trying to run a two different test enviroment under one VM machine. One test enviroment should point to different ODBC and other one should be pointing to different ODBC. Also the same case for the map network drives.

So on one VM, you want to test two virtualized applications? Please explain.
Setup Altiris
George,
Yes in one VM I want to Virtualize the application in a other sense:
what I am trying to do is setup two different layering. First layer should be pointing to different server and different ODBC and map drives.
2nd layer should be pointing to a different server and different ODBC. I want to be able to switch to these two different mode by clicking on these layers.. Do you think you can help?
It can be done
Nathan,
What you wish to do can be done. You have to copy the layer and edit it with the new settings. Rename it and import it as version 2.
The drive mappings can be done with the onpreactiavte command. Use net use \d driveletter to remove the mapping and net use driveletter: \\servername\path to create the new one.
The onpreactivate will create the mappings, where the odbc settinsg are in the respective layer.
Does this helps you out?

Erik's suggestion below
Erik's suggestion below sounds like a good way to do it. The ODBC can be modified in each layer and try what he said for the drive mappings. There are some Juice articles that explain how to do some of the on-activate commands, etc. (I haven't done any yet)
Once you have played
George,
Once you have played with the onevents, you never take a look at any of the other solutions.
The onevents are one of the greatest evention in SVS. It is as strong as a powershell, and as easy as it can be.You can do simple dos tasks, untill the most comprehensive VB scripts.
Even layer dependencies can be activated with the onevents.
And yes sometimes we build in dependencies just to keep layers multifunctional.
Especially when you are playing with middelware this is a very cool tool.
