IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Client Installer

This is perhaps a bit off-topic for Juice, but.....

A while back we had a lot of issues with the TSM installations on our Windows clients. The client installer required an awful lot of work at the user-end in order to set this up correctly for scheduled backups.

The result was that many users were not backing up their systems at all -this was bad.

As I reckoned the users shouldn't be required trawl through pages of web docs in order to get their systems backed-up automatically, I went to work on trying to build an automated installer for TSM which configured the client.

I'm not sure if anyone here is interested in a techncial write-up of the installer, but its been so useful for us I thought I'd see if anyone else out there was interested.
