SVS Client 2.1 personal install

Sorry for posting to this group cannot find a suitable one.
From w98 i've been running windows stripped. Currently winXP_pro stripped using nLite.
When I attempt to install Client 2.1 the install fails immediately, a dialog box allowing me to obtain password from Altiris doesn't appear as it does in a full install.
Any clues as to what I would have to return to the XP install to enable a password request?

Error installing SVS
Nlite strips some .net components.
Reinstall .Net 2.0, and try again.
In most cases this solves your problem.

Same problem in EEE PC
I have faced the similar problem in EEE PC. Even after installing DOT NET runtime, I got errors. First, try dot net runtime as recommended by Erik or try running it from DOS mode as recommended here.
