Trying to get VPRO to work

Trying to get VPRO to work

I have a 30 license to use some of the Altiris stuff to get VPRO to work all the way. I watched the YouTube video and he has a enter bios settings in the power management part under Real time management system when you go to reboot. What am I missing?

thanks
Gary

Success

I was able to provision or enable the AMT settings with the create security keys and putting that on a USB key and then booting the computer with that USB key and in a couple of seconds it was done.

I am successfully changing BIOS settings to get the computers to wake up 45 minutes before the user gets there.

A point of contention is that DELL comments out the older Dells earlier than the 270s but after enabling in the supported models xml file the Dell Optiplex 150 on up successfully give inventories, power manage, but most importantly they will change BIOS settings so that now my computers turn on automatically.

Dell should really uncomment the older models. It is a disservice not to..

did you enable vpro?

Did you activate the comptuer's vpro settings? Through Resource Manager you should then have a tab labled Real Time System Manager and then there should be an option to work w/ the device in Vpro
