How are people managing multiple sites globally?
Submitted by clayne100 on 16 July, 2008 - 15:56.
I am faced with managing 3 sites arround the world. I want to do this with a single console where I can push images and apps to any computer. Catch is that the image or app data must be on the same LAN as the computer.
How are people doing this today? Multiple deployment servers? Other Apps? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

DFS
We are using Windows DFS. This lets us use the same job on different sites and each site only pulls across the LAN and not the WAN. The only problem is there is a lot of configuration that needs to be done to get it to work properly and DFS has some problems of its own, not to mention the linux PXE does not do dfs mapping.

Hi,
Have you heard of the GETSRV within Altiris Deployment Soolution?
It basically looks at the IP Address of the machine you are deploying the job to, then forces that machine to look at a local file share.
