Altiris database repository explained

To the best of know knowledge there is no such document. If you look an asset up in Resource Manager under the inventory tab you will see all the different data types and the table names are listed there as well.

If you're talking about Deployment Server there isnt any way to view the tables. The information I provided about was with regards to Notification Server. There are tables however in the express database (Deployment Server's default DB) For example the computer table contains all the computers in DS as well as their Mac addresses and realted info. That information can be searched though through the use of Filters. There you can create different conditions to search for. Let me know if I still dont understand your question.

The fact is that i knew about the eXpress database but was not able to see the link between the tables (hence the investigation for a global schema of the database)
But i finaly managed to find the info i was looking for
The MAC address i was looking for are not stored in the Computer table but in the Nics table (that makes sense)

But anyway, i still find the strategy of Symantec of not wanting to share the database documentation very dumb
That's the best choice to leave the place for other competitors...
