Can't Disable Reboot Screen...

Hello everyone,

We just implemented Altiris and I'm currently getting familiar with Software Delivery and Deployment Console. At the moment, I created two packages in Software Deployment, one is Office 2007 and the other one is an in-house app. Both of these worked fine in our old software deployment application (Symantec LiveState) AND they both work fine when the .bat file is executed independently.

However, with Altiris, I'm getting a little frustrated. The package is very simple; one to call the batch file to execute and the next is to add a power control to reboot after the job finished. I schedule the task to a machine and both complete successfully.. HOWEVER, when a person logs in afterwards, I get this annoying Install window that is jammed up in the upper left hand corner (can't see it all unless you increase the screen resolution) and it displays that the system needs to be restarted in order for the installation to be complete. <-- again this happens after the package has been sent and even though Altiris says the task is complete this window appears...

Has anyone experienced this? It happens for both of the software packages I'm testing and it only happens in Altiris. How do you disable this? The only thing I've came across is that in the power control settings (the one to reboot after the installation is done) is to force the application to close. No luck though, this doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully it's a simple fix and I can stop banging my head against the wall.
