HIPAA compliance
Hello,
Does any company use pcAnywhere in an HIPAA compliant environment?
am asking this as we have huge issues with Carbon Copy which will not be resolved (dixit Altiris Support) due to EOD and EOL of Carbon Copy Solution and the alternative is for now to go with pcAnywhere. As far as I tested it it does not comply. We are getting the organization name in the log instead of the user name in several cases using pcAnywhere, it is unacceptable by HIPAA. The user name should be clearly displayed to show who used the remote control session on which machine.
Thanks,
Dom

HIPAA compliance
Hi,
pcAnywhere is HIPAA compliant ftp://64.86.106.88/public/english_us_canada/linked...
I am not sure in which particular pcAnywhere event log you are getting the organization name, but the problem you have mentioned might have been solved in latest beta release of pcAnywhere Solution which is included in CMS beta.
Also do check the upcoming beta of pcAnywhere 12.5 standalone product and update your HIPAA compliance feedback.
Thanks,
Nikhil
