Question about the Task - Send e-mail for this incident

I see there is a task in the HelpDesk which will take you directly to the built-in e-mail functionality.

I was wondering if this could be modified to have pre-defined data sent to it, namely a specified contact in the These Addresses field and a fixed message.

I was looking at the settings for the task and nothing stood out as a solution to this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're talking about the email option while in "edit" mode of an incident, I dont think it's possible to set pre-defined "These Addresses". You can edit the email template it uses though to get the fixed message you want.

An alternate way of sending to pre-defined addresses is to setup up a notification rule to send the info. to pre-defined addresses whenever an incident sends an email. I've never done this but I believe it should work fine. If you'd like to know more about or need help with this option please let me know.
