Altiris password reset

Altiris password reset

I recently change my password to access the Altiris Console and now I no longer have any access at all. How can I resolve this issue? Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Did you reset your password or did you reset the password for the Altiris service account. If it was your password that you reset try using the service account to access the console and check the permissions your account.

I noticed that all access to the console is controlled by local groups on the server. You can actually view these security groups just by using Computer Management on the NS, and if you have admin rights to the server, you can edit them directly from Local Users and Groups as you please. So I would check "altiris Administrators" local group on your NS and verify your account is there. If not, then you could just add it in like you do any account to a local group and you will have access again.

this was a bug that was fixed? don't know for sure though
