Is it possible to package internet explorer using Wise Package Studio. If it is possible then could any of you explain the same.

IE Install
It maybe easier to just have a job install it in passive mode and then have the settings changed in your GPO or REGEDIT job.

Packaging Internet explorer
You are only able to package a newer version than the one that is on your packaging machine.
I posted a explanation for IE 8, but for IE 7 it is a similar procedure.

Yes it's possible (I have a working version of IE7) but to get IE in a layer to work as if it was in the base (all plugins working, pop-up blocker working and so on) you'll need to do a lot of work because not everything gets captured.
The only way I've seen IE7 work in a layer is by using three clean VMS (and by clean I mean nothing by system updates and no other software)one with nothing, one with IE captured into a layer and one with IE7 into the base. Then you go through the registry on each comparing everything that's different and copying keys that aren't in the layer but were added with the IE7 install into the base.
