Deployment Solution 6.5 Sp1

When you have the computer imported in the DS console, you can right click on it, and then choose configure. Go to tab domain.
There you can add the pc to the domain.
After you have done this once, the job is lisetd in the computer screen on the right.
Select it, and use it as your job.
Please be aware to remove all other information in this job because all your pc's get the same name.

I don't know if it's the same in DS6.5.
We are running DS6.8SP2.

• You can create a job with the task being Modify Configuration.
• Select Microsoft Networking
• Select Domain and type in your domain.

If the machine in question is already in your DS console, the method that erikw desscribed would be the way to do it.

Like he also pointed out, the nice thing now is you have a job you can use to repeat against other machines as long as you remove the computer name and such.

If the machines are not in the DS console yet (i.e. you are preparing to image them and want to add as part of the process), when you add the computer, just be sure to go to the Microsoft Networking section and fill in the domain information. That is how I do all my initial builds.

Here is a script that is really short and works well. You need to have a file called "netdom" on your computer. You can find it here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838079

Here is the script:
netdom.exe join %computername% /domain:"LDSBC" /userd:"username" /passwordd:"password"

You will need an account that has the ability to add computers to the domain. I also run the following registry key after (to prevent the control alt delete menu from showing up on the login screen):
