Firefox working with Altiris Console

I understand Altiris will be able to run within Firefox upon the release of version 7. Is this an accurate statement?

Probably not quite what
Probably not quite what you're after but there's a Firefox add-on available called "IE Tabs" - This renders pages as they would in IE while still using Firefox. You can setup the add-on so it will render pages in IE for your Altiris server (just go to "Tools" then "IE Tab Options" then add http://server/* to the site filter).
Unfortunately it then doesn't give the full functionality of Firefox (like the spell-checker which would be very handy for the Service Desk). You can check out the add on at:

Lets hope V7 runs properly in Firefox though....
Firefox support
The software portal will support IE, Firefox, and Safari and will likely be compatible with other browsers. The Symantec Management Console Console (formerly the Altiris Console) will not officially support Firefox with the 7.0 release, but is on the way to full support. Many of the web controls used ActiveX and there are a few remaining controls in 7.0 that need to be converted for full support.
