Adding new operating system to deploy
Good afternoon, learning the ins and out of Altiris. We have an HP blade server with Altiris Rapid Deployment version 6.2 Service Pack 2. When you first install the application you are giving the option to build disk images for the operating systems you would like to deploy. I built three and continue the installation. Now that Altiris is up and running i am wanting to create a job to deploy windows 2003 server enterprise x64 to our blade. Our other job enters all the information, formats and loads the HP software. I was wondering if there is a way to create a new job for the EE version?
If this is in the wrong section i do apologize!

Several options are available....
There are several ways you can do this:
Option 1 - rerun the RDP setup program and there's an option available to add the servers. It's better to add all of them during the install then trying to one off add them later.
Option 2 - clone the existing job, making notes of where the job is pulling the files from and then simply copy the appropriate files.
Option 3 - Use the DS Scripted OS install option. Create a new job and choose Scripted OS Install
Just a few thoughts.
