strange installation
Submitted by pop72 on 9 April, 2008 - 23:34.
I have installed the svs personal edition but then i make an installation of Photoshop CS3 within svs in a new layer it works, but if i inactivate that layer photoshop is still installed and can be found in the startmenu and is startable as normal. What is wrong?

Could be a known issue
This is a known issue with the product. See the following Altiris KB:
https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=21614&p...
actually this has to do, I
actually this has to do, I believe, with the adobe CS3 setup.exe installer which creates a new process that does the actual installation and isn't caught by SVS. The original poster has said on the SVS forums that he can run photoshop when the layer is inactive which would mean that the above KB article isn't the problem.
Use command prompt capture trick or just capture the MSI to work around it.
Few more points..
There is also few more posts and discussions which can prove worthy.

Adobe CS3
Capturing Adobe CS3 creates a new PID for every application.
The best way to do this is to build a clean VM, and to capture it in a global capture.
