Helpdesk remove duplicate worker accounts
Submitted by Jeanne on 9 April, 2008 - 15:32.
Just went live with Helpdesk on Monday and already I need to remove a couple of workers who added themselves after I had already added them. Now they have two accounts and need one removed.

duplicate worker accounts
Jeanne,
We use helpdesk and I have ran into this too, you cant delete worker accounts from the console once they are created, I think that is a reporting thing or not deleting a worker that may have tickets open..etc. Anyway, all you can do is make them inactive , and what I do is rename them to OLDXXXX or something. Then you can set the email address, ntid, etc. to something bogus and create them another worker account. If you get an error about the contact having the same ID , or email you may have to go under contacts (not workers) and modify the contact info associated with the worker, then recreate them a worker account. Hope that helps and let me know if need more details on how to do that.

I did rename the accounts and deactivate them apparently the original account had the wrong ntid listed after a closer look at the account.

You can re-use those "test" accounts provided there are no incidents associated with them. (or just delete your test incidents prior to go-live).
Simply change the values like name, nt_id, etc to reuse those test worker accounts.
