Altiris Packages and Remote downloading

We are trying to decide what new desktop tool to use.
Is there an option in the NS or Packaging Server/etc for partial downloads of packages for remote users/users that get disconnected while a package is downloading?

not quite sure what you
not quite sure what you mean... but the NS agent on the client keeps retrying and resuming the download of the package if the connection is interrupted. it's quite easy to see the status on the agent properties itself.
File level checkpoint recovery
Is in the Notification Server agent. As George mentions it will keep retrying the download from the last file successfully transfered.

Partial Downloads
Here's what I mean
Say I have a user that is downloading a package, and he is disconnected while downloading that package, will the package resume where it left off or begin from scratch, is there options to have resuming set to off/on, etc.
NS or DS download
Is your user downloaidng the package from the notifcation server (ns) or the deployment server (ds)?
In the Notification server there is file level checkpoint recoevery. THe clent will resume at the last file that was downloaded as a part of the package when they disconnect. Now if there is only one file in the package then checkpoint recovery will not help you out too much. You will start over with the whole file.
In the Deployment Server (DS) there is no checkpoint recovery.
Does this help answer your question?
