The advisory board is looking for ways to make the Michigan User Group more productive. Please reply to this post with ideas you may have that would (in your mind) enhance your attendance at our next User Group meeting in May. Be as detailed as possible as this will help us make the Michigan User Group more of a collaborative, participatory meeting, instead one presentation after the other.

How about splitting up into groups.....?
A couple people have suggested that we split up into groups by Altiris solution and share issues, things we are working on, questions about problems we are having.
Great idea ... here's another
As a medium sized company who uses the product SIGNIFICANTLY different that those I have spoken with at user group meetings it might be helpful to go back to basics a bit and showcase what the core of the product can really do for companies.
For instance I use it almost exclusively for inventorying what is on a system, both hardware and software, and pushing patches with patch management. We own CMS ans SMS level 1 which includes so much more that we use it for but I just havent found the time to delve into what else it could really do for us yet. On ths DS side of the house all we do is push out scripts, no packaged software applications, no imaging though I know that it could all be accomplished if I had the time to learn how to do it.
I'm not suggesting a training course type of atmosphere but maybe a quick demo with rescources for where to find out more info for those of us who would use those portions of the product and already own it.
