AClient Migration Script

We're currently in the process of upgrading our Altiris Infrastructure. One of the things we needed to do was migrate machines in our existing DS consoles to the corresponding DS consoles in the new infrastructure. I created this vbscript to assist with the process.

The script is run via Software Delivery on a collection of PC's that we were targeting for migration. The script checks the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Altiris\Client Service\tcpaddr key to see what DS the aclient is currently pointing to. The script then changes to the appropriate new console and then stops the aclient service, pauses 10 seconds to allow it time to stop, it then restarts the service. The machine then checks into the new DS console. Look at the Select Case statement in the script and modify that for your environment. Hope you find it useful!
