Shiny New Juice Features
We've been busy behind the scenes putting the polish on a few new features that are sure to make the Juice experience more enjoyable. We hope we've also made the site more useful for members of our crazy community.
New way to communicate with your peers.
We've added a new "private message" feature that allows you to contact other community members via a messaging system built into the Juice. This is probably a good way to communicate if you don't want other users having your e-mail address. (This is not the chat functionality we've discussed. Stay tuned on that addition.)
Registered users now have their own "message area" on the Juice. Click the "My inbox" link (top-right navigation block) to check it out.
You can configure the private message system to notify you as much (or as little) as you like. Go to your profile page ("My account") and click the edit tab to change your settings.
New way to vote on your favorite content.
We've added new code that makes voting quicker and easier. On the old Juice, you had to select a score from a drop-down menu and click "submit" to cast a vote. Now, all you have to do is point and click. If you're on a summary page (like the home page) you can even vote on several articles without refreshing the page. (Remember, you can only vote 5 times in a 24-hour period.)
New way to get more from long documents.
We now have a new way to make long documents more digestable. We've labeled the new functionality "book" (ingenious, eh?). It allows us to do the following:
- Break a long article into sections so users can leave comments or print a specific section. (If your fingers are tired of scrolling, books should help.)
- Create a dynamic table of contents and intuitive navigation so you can drill into the topic you need, now.
- Bind a series of articles together (like Scott Hardie's packaging series) for easier navigation and printing.
- Oh yeah, printing is cool. You can now print an entire "book" instead of taking time to print individual articles in a series.
Book functionality adds a table of contents (highlighted in yellow) and a useful way to browse forward and back (highlighted in green).
As always, if you like what we've done (or want to see more) drop us an e-mail.

Great Updates!
Juicemaster - you rock!
The book feature will be especially nice. Thanks for keeping things tip-top.
I do seem to have one problem where the page does not display correctly. I thought it might be my IE7 browser, but it is happening in IE6 also. It only happens on some articles (like the one just below this article), where the screen expands way out to the right side of the screen and I have to scroll over.
Other than that, things look great!
Screenbert
Internet Explorer
Thanks for the feedback Screenbert.
A majority of our users visit the Juice via Internet Explorer. It's important that we support this platform.
I'll dust off my copy and do some testing ;)

Wow ...
Wow this is cool.
Sorry, but i don´t know is there no Vote gate (5 Vote??? from me ...)
================
I have also change a little bit with CSS.
When I scroll the Page the "Recent comments" Box
is always bottom ( at the same Place, so I can klick ... )
The "headline" and the "description" is always on Top.
So when I klick the comment I see the "headline" and

Juicemaster, can you
Juicemaster, can you describe more the new functionality about "You can now print an entire "book" instead of taking time to print individual articles in a series."
Thanks!
Good question, riva11
This new functionality allows us to publish large, complex documents (like documentation) in smaller, web-friendly, pieces.
And ... it gives you the flexibility to compile all the pages and print them out as one document if you like.
I'll give some examples from the "Managing Lenovo" book that was added to the Juice earlier this week.
This book is actually a collection of about 20 separate Web pages.
You can print a single page of this book, a section and all the pages it holds, or the entire book.
HTH,
Juicemaster
Thanks Juicemaster I see
Thanks Juicemaster
I see also the new Books menu with a list of some long articles.
